Jessica Chipera, MBA
- Epigram's founder, Jessica Chipera, is a female Marine combat veteran and native-born New Mexican.
- Once upon a time, Jessica wanted to run the company from her tent while travelling around the United States in a metal band shirt and blue hair. She has gotten slightly less wild now that she is slightly older. But only slightly.
- As a kid, Jessica watched "Stocks" on TV with her World War 2 veteran grandfather, who encouraged her to join the military to pay for college. She started boot camp a few days after high school graduation. When Jessica left for Iraq, the country was thriving. Almost everyone owned several houses. Upon her return in late 2009, all of that had changed. Beloved friends had lost everything, and the country she loved was in ruins.
- Thinking about everything she had learned about investing from her grandfather, Jessica decided to make a career change and serve in a different way by helping people build the resilience to avoid financial catastrophes. She left the Marine Corps and started Epigram Financial Services.
